Amazon Smile Charity: MSSA is now an approved Amazon Smile Charity. Select MSSA as the desired charity, then shop on smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com. Everything else will be the same, like prices and shipping. The selected charity will receive 0.5% of the purchases. Once a quarter Amazon will deposit in the MSSA's checking account the total of the account.
A Proposed By-laws change will be voted on at the state shoot. The primary changes will ensure that only the earnings from the Life Membership fund can be used for operating expenses; to change the State Shoot rotation system to keep the state shoot affordable to shooters without challenging the financial integrity of MSSA; and to allow the State Shoot to be an Open Shoot.

The Board voted to continue to recognize 10 buckle winning shooters for the 2022 season. Since we are short of sponsors this year, each points shoot will add 2 cents per target to finance the program.
The IRS has certified MSSA as a tax exempt organization. It only took about a year, and many letters and filings. The MSSA is now officially a 501(c)3 charity. Any donations to the MSSA are tax deductible for the donor
